I’m a big fan of supporting women and especially military wives. With the frequent moves and employment not always readily available, many spouses have turned to working for themselves. So, when Holly, the wife of a retired Marine, emailed me about her jewelry business Witt ‘n Whimsy, I was more than happy to work with her.
Holly attributes her love of art to her creative mother. She grew up painting, creating, and drawing right along side of her. As an adult, she studied art and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Her career took her to California where she met her husband. She still continued with designing and enjoyed being well-published in the craft industry. Her family has been fortunate enough to live in some really great places including California, Japan and Hawaii. It was in Okinawa, Japan, busy raising 3 kids (and still designing books), where she began her love of jewelry making. She started by learning how to wire wrap and drill sea glass. She and her kids would find gorgeous sea glass under the water and along the beaches. I can totally attest to that too, since I have jars full of sea glass that I found in Okinawa. She moved from sea glass to soldering, beading, riveting and hand stamping metal. Fast forward to today and she has an Etsy shop where she can play with all kinds of jewelry techniques. A woman after my own heart, except my sea glass will never be more than decoration and memories in a jar.
She has a wide variety of jewelry in her shop. Everything from earrings, necklaces, hand stamped jewelry, woven bracelets, cuffs, and rings. I love the sterling silver rings that can be hand stamped with whatever you want. Her bracelets though. The cuffs and the woven bracelets both have areas to say whatever you want them too. She has a lot of designs in the shop already, but will work with you to personalize it how you want.
I’m super excited that she wants to give one of you her Fierce Boho Silk Wrap Bracelet. Is this not gorgeous? The colors! I love it!!
The giveaway is open to all U.S. residents, including APO/FPO addresses. The winner will be contacted on Instagram via Direct Message and will have 48 hours to respond or the prize will be forfeited. Make sure to check her Etsy shop out for more gorgeousness!
