Summer officially started (for the kids) last Friday. My daughter seems to think I’ll get the summer off too, even though I keep telling her it doesn’t work that way for grownups. We don’t have a ton planned for this summer and plan to stay close to home. No vacations, no big road trips. That kinda makes me sad, but at the same time, I only get so much vacation time. I am taking a short trip to Denver, but it’s without the kids.
The big one is going to Camp Corral for a week. It’s an overnight camp for the children of deceased and wounded veterans. I’m thinking it will be a blast. Both kids are going to swim camp again, third year in a row for my boy and the first year for my daughter. I’ve been thinking about enrolling her in a week long camp at her gymnastics place, but I haven’t got around to it yet.
The things we plan to do are mostly things we haven’t done before.
