It’s freaking hot. My poor dog wants to go outside all the time, but I know he is miserable outside. I normally make muffins or similar treats, so I figured why not make him a cold treat? Something to enjoy while he’s outside. My kids eat popsicles all day long and I even buy myself ice cream treats (and I hide them in the freezer so no one else eats them), so why shouldn’t he have a cold snack too?
1 cup Greek Yogurt
1 4 oz. container Baby Food – pick a flavor your dog likes. I used carrots and banana.
1 cup Peanut Butter
2 tbsp Honey
Right? Super easy. Mix it all up with a mixer and pour into paper cups. I filled four cups about halfway full. I didn’t have any sticks, so I cut a Dentastix treat in half, length ways, and stuck that in the middle. I already had them on hand and now I don’t have to worry about him chewing the stick up and it then being left in the yard.
They were frozen after a few hours, but we left them overnight. My daughter gave him the treat and she ended up holding it for him cause he’s a big baby, but he liked it! These were so easy and I’ll be making them again for sure.
