Do you want to send a care package, but don’t know what to send? Or maybe you want to sign your service member up for a monthly subscription box, but aren’t sure which way to go. The majority of the military drinks coffee, so this is a safe bet.
A few months ago, I did a post about War Foodie, but at the time, they offered a variety of food that could be sent in a care package. They’ve changed things up a bit and are centered more around the coffee aspect now, as that is what everyone wanted. There are three options now:
- (1) Coffee
- (1) Coffee and a Surprise
- (2) Coffees
The coffee is different each month. They look for for wonderful single-origin coffees from around the world, which means it originates from a specific farm, region, or micro-lot. Similar to wine, each origin provides unique flavor profiles. This month, we got coffee from Nova, Rwanda. I’d say that’s pretty unique. The surprise is a specialty item that guys like on deployment, like hot sauce, peanut butter, and beef jerky.
Each box also includes reading material now. Good reading material though. They’ve partnered with Duffleblog, We Are The Mighty, and other sites to include informative and entertaining newsletters that people actually want to read.
Boxes can be shipped anywhere in the world, if it’s going to an APO/FPO address. You can unsubscribe at any time too, so no worries about that one. Check it out. I know this is something my husband would have appreciated when he was deployed. Besides getting great coffee delivered to you, it’s also fun to get mail period.
