1. We went to Okuma for the weekend. We had a good time just hanging out and relaxing. We were limited on what we could do with a 2 year old, but we played on the beach, took a glass bottom boat ride, hubby played some golf, and we hiked up to Hiji Falls. I was misinformed on the distance to get to the falls, so we got out there in flip flops. It was all paths and lots of stairs and no real hiking was involved, but still. My calves are killing me today! And yes, if I would have known the distance, I would have put shorts on. I just have this weird aversion to shorts. I hate the way they look on me, so I rarely wear them.
2. A couple weeks ago I had a flat, so we bought 2 new tires for my van. Now, if I’m lucky, I get to replace the alternator belt. If I’m not lucky, the whole alternator. The JCI is due on the van this month, (JCI is a mandatory liability insurance that includes an inspection. If nothing is wrong, it’ll run about $600. It obviously increases as things need to be fixed) so we are going to see what it costs and if it’s worth fixing or if we should just junk it and buy something else. Fun times.
3. We’ve got another typhoon headed our way. Typhoon Muifa. Yesterday when I checked, it was a super typhoon and today it’s just a typhoon. I guess I should be glad about that. It still looks like it’ll be a direct hit though!
